Dr Sanford is a board‐certified urologist at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center specializing in advanced, image‐guided urologic procedures. He was the first physician in Hawaii to perform irreversible electroporation for focal therapy in prostate cancer. Dr. Sanford’s research focuses on understanding how human variability influences artificial intelligence models in medicine, with the goal of improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
