Dr. Hodgdon completed his medical school and training in general surgery at LSU Health Sciences University in New Orleans. He holds clinical appointments at University Medical Center New Orleans, and Touro Infirmary, where he has been honored with multiple teaching awards. Dr Hodgdon serves on the Board of the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons (SLS).
He is actively involved in basic science and clinical research of hernia repair and anastomotic leak reduction with focus on tissue autograft and absorbable stents.
