Dr. Giuseppe Bigatti

Dr. Giuseppe Bigatti was born in Milan on 14.09.62. He has been  taking his Medical degree at the University of Pavia  on 31.03.1989 and his  degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Milan on 14.07.93 . During his academic formation He dedicated himself to both Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. From 1991 to 1992 He spent a year at the University of Leuven, working together with Prof. I. Brosens to an experimental project on Post-Surgical Adhesions. Since 1992 He has been Tutor of Hysteroscopy, with the Rollerball Team supervised by Dr. R. Campo, during several workshops organised in Austria, Belgium, Slovak Republic, Greece and Italy. Since 1992 He has been Tutor of Laparoscopy at the University of Milan. During the 5th Congress of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy in Bratislava he received the Raoul Palmer and ESGE - Award for the best video presentation with the video: “Training in Hysteroscopy”. Dr Bigatti has always dedicated himself to endoscopic training and has been working as expert laparoscopic and hysteroscopic  trainer for the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery. As a world class expert in hysteroscopy,  Dr  Bigatti invented the Intrauterine Bigatti Shaver (IBS®) based on his rich experience in operative hysteroscopy. The IBS® has been recognized as one of the most accurate and safe device  in operative hysteroscopy. Compared to the traditional operative hysteroscopic technique,  IBS® minimizes trauma and bleeding and  largely decreases the time for surgical procedures. It is well recognized as an outstanding advantage for intrauterine pathology treatment. Dr Bigatti has also published a large number of research papers and publications on international SCI journals. Invited by president Weiping Li of the Shanghai Jiaotong University Dr. Giuseppe Bigatti has joined Renji hospital as the head of the “Sino European Life Expert Centre from Apr. 1st, 2019. It is the first time that a Chinese public hospital has a full-time overseas surgeon leading an endoscopic centre.
