BIO:
Dr. Thiers Soares Raymundo graduated in Teresópolis School of Medicine (“Serra dos Órgãos” University). He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Fernandes Figueira Institute (an Oswaldo Cruz Institute Hospital), where he also completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. He is currently Chief of Gynecologic Endoscopy Section, Cardoso Fontes Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Chief of Gynecologic Endoscopy Section, Pedro Ernesto University Hospital, State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also Professor and in Charge of the Hands-on Laboratory of the Gynecologic Endoscopy Postgraduate Course, Suprema University/Crispi Institute, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
He is a member of the Board of the Brazilian Society of VideoSurgery and Robotics (SOBRACIL), and was elected Vice-president of the SOBRACIL Rio de Janeiro section (2018-2019).
He has published several studies and book chapters, including Endometriosis: A Concise Practical Guide to Current Diagnosis and Treatment, edited by Lisolette Mettler, Jorg Keckstein, Ivo Meinhold-Heerlein, and Ibrahim Alkatout. He lectures around the world, including USA, South Africa, Singapore, China, Romania, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru.
His main goal is to teach and spread minimally invasive gynecologic surgery in Brazil and all over the world.
